Vodafone Volte Enabled For both Moto G6 And G6 Play

Motorola has been off the radar since the start of this year. Motorola is a company once known for rolling out quicker Android platform updates, but it’s currently struggling to add VoLTE patch of telecom operators to its smartphones. This sums up the company’s current position. After facing a massive backlash from the users, Motorola has added VODAFONE VOLTE support to both its recently launched Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphones. Well, these are the first Motorola smartphones to support VoLTE from a GSM operator in India. However, as of now, only Vodafone VoLTE support has been rolled out to the smartphones and not Airtel VoLTE or Idea VoLTE, but it might soon change.

So if you own a Moto G6 or Moto G6 Play in any of the Vodafone VoLTE enabled regions, you can experience HD voice calls. Vodafone’s Super VoLTE service is currently live across Chennai, Delhi & NCR, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Kolkata, Maharashtra & Goa, Mumbai, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP (E) and UP (W).

Other Motorola smartphones such as the Moto Z2 Force, Moto G5S, Moto G5S Plus, Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are yet to receive VoLTE support for GSM telecom operators. All the Motorola smartphones by default support Jio Volte.

Motorola launched the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India earlier this month on June 4. During the launch event, the company confirmed that both the handsets would receive a software update with Google lens integration and other features later this month. Maybe the OTA update has added the Vodafone VoLTE support to both the smartphones.

The Moto G6 is available for purchase exclusively via Amazon at Rs 13,999 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs 15,999 for the 4GB RAM option. The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, is retailing for Rs 11,999 exclusively on Flipkart. Both the smartphones are also available for purchase across Moto Hub stores in the country at the same prices.
